Seas and Rivers
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of very important seas and rivers that supply this region. This area has very high amount fish consumption due to its location near the oceans and seas. China, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan are the biggest deep sea fishing nations. The rice farmers depend on the flooding of rivers so that they can get water to their rice farms. The Chang Jiang is Asia’s longest river it flows about 3,400 miles and then empties into the Shanghai area. Rivers are also good for transporting goods up the river on barges and boats. The most important rivers in Southeast Asia are the Irrawaddy, the Salween, and the Chao Phraya. Rivers and Seas are very useful in this region, they help out a lot of people and the culture that they have depends on it.
Answer: I think that the Seas and Rivers are vital for the people of that region to continue their way of life, without the Seas and Rivers life would be very different for the way they live. If there was no deep seas for fishing and then they would not have as much fish and people would have to depend more on rice or imported foods to feed the large population. The River dams are important for the hydroelectric power so they are not burning as much oil or coal.
The long coastlines of East Asia and Southeast Asia border the Indian and Pacific oceans. These oceans have influenced this region’s history. The oceans keep Japan isolated from the Asian mainland. The seas and oceans also are used for trade routes. The South China Sea has much of the worlds shipping traffic. Singapore has become one of the world’s busiest ports because it controls the Strait of Malacca. It connects the South China Sea and the Indian Ocean.

East and Southeast Asia are surrounded by two Oceans. They are called the Indian and the Pacific. The seas and oceans are important to this region. The South China Sea goes from south of Taiwan to Southeast Asia. It carries some of the worlds shipping traffic.
ReplyDeleteWell Japan developed a unique culture. I believe that the change of the water has influenced Asia. There is more stuff like how the water moves and how many floods go to this region. The islands influence this country to the more there is the less water will hit.
East Asia and South Asia are by two major oceans; the Indian and the Pacific Ocean. This area also has many seas. Their history has been affected by these oceans and many of the seas. They have also affected the economy. Singapore has become one of the world’s busiest ports because of the Strait of Malacca. Japan and many other countries have the world’s biggest deep sea fishing industries.
ReplyDeleteSome influence I thinks is they have helped the fishing industry a lot. Another is they have helped very much with the trading industry. I think the oceans and seas help because people like to go to beaches and swim. The last influence I think is helpful is the hydroelectric power they get from dams. Without these things life would not be the same for these people. They are vital things for life in this are.

ReplyDeleteOne thing that rivers and seas influence is how many people live there. An example is Florida and California. Lots of people live there because it is warm and by the beach. another influence is trading. A city near a ocean will be able to trade more.

The influences from the oceans and seas are great. They are great because the fishing is great. The oceans and seas are also great for the trade ships and more types of transportation.
East Asia and Southeast Asia are surrounded by two major oceans, the Indian and the Pacific. The Oceans and Seas are influenced from their regions history and important for their economies as their served for trade routes. The most important rivers of East Asia flow through China. They begin in the Plateau of Tibet and flow eastward to the Pacific Ocean. These rivers are the Huang He which is also called the yellow river for its yellow-brown soil, the other river is called the Chang Jiang, Asia’s longest river, it flows through gorges, or canyons. The other Major Rivers are in Southeast Asia located in the Mainland, these rivers are the Irrawaddy, Salween, Chao Phraya, and the Mekong.
ReplyDeleteI think the influence by oceans and seas is mainly by trading. Asia carries much of the worlds shipping traffic, and also the world’s biggest deep-sea fishing industries. Oceans and seas are very important to their regions economy.
The oceans and seas of Southeast Asia are a very important resource to these people. The two major oceans that border Southeast Asia are the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. Countries like Japan are isolated by the ocean from mainland so they have developed a different culture and history. These waters have also been used as trading routes, and ports like the ones in Singapore are always busy because they control the Strait of Malacca. Oceans and seas are a big part of the food industry in Southeast Asia because of deep sea fishing.
ReplyDeleteAsia depends on water for their way of life. There oceans are important for food, transportation and culture. Without the oceans there today there would not be that unique culture of the smaller island that is there because of their location from the mainland. The seas and oceans supply most of their food so the deep sea industry must rely on the water to get their food. These seas are needed for Asia's economy because it is used as trade routes that transport their goods. So, the oceans and seas of Asia are very important because it is what makes Asia what it is today.
The coastlines of East Asia and Southeast Asia are surrounded by the Indian and Pacific Ocean. They are also boarded by several seas. People that live in East Asian countries, such as Japan, had to adapt to the countries isolation from Asia’s mainland which is why they developed a unique culture. For the regions economics, Oceans and
ReplyDeleteseas have been important. The regions Oceans and seas serve as trade routes. The seas are also depended on for food in the region’s islands and coastal areas.
Some generalizations you could make about the influences of Oceans and seas on the area are that they influence how we transport our goods. With Oceans and seas being used as trade routes, we are able to ship our goods to almost anywhere in the world. Taiwan to Southeast Asia carries much of the worlds shipping traffic. Oceans and seas are also being used as a food source. Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and China have the worlds largest deep-sea fishing industries.
The winding coastlines of East and Southeast Asia are washed upon by two major oceans the Indian and Pacific oceans. Japan has had a different culture from Mainland Asia because the oceans had been isolating the island from the mainland Asia. Oceans are the life line for the Japanese people, because without the ocean they wouldn’t be able to trade with other countries. But some of the problems of the oceans are the crowded ports for ships to dock. Also without the ocean the people wouldn’t get their normal food that they eat everyday.
ReplyDeleteIf the people of Asia didn’t have the ocean they wouldn’t have enough food to support their people. Also the people wouldn’t get to eat fish because there would be no place for the fish in the ocean to live so they would die out. Also the people of Japan can have in their own culture and the mainland Asia can have in their own culture.
East and Southeast Asia have coasts of two oceans, the Indian and Pacific. The oceans have a large influence on this region’s history. In Japan, they have developed a unique culture because of the isolation from Asian mainland caused by some seas. As well as culture, the seas have affected the region’s economies. Seas have become trade routes, shipping, sources for food, and business for the fishing industry.
ReplyDeleteI would assume that they respect the seas for the way the seas help the region’s countries. They could help with food supply, water, transportation, etc. I also think the way the seas might help with farming could also influence their appreciation for them. On the other hand, if some people lost their homes, they could disrespect the seas.
