The two main rivers are the Huang He/Yellow River and Chang Jiang/Yangtz River. The Yellow River's current carries loess which is blown in from the deserts and makes a rich soil. That rich soil makes the North China Plain a major wheat growing area. The Yangtze River is Asia's longest river, streatching 3,400 miles through gorges and canyons. It also makes good soil for growing rice, wheat, ect.. Some other uses are trade and travel. There are ups and downs to the rivers. The good part is it creates a good amount of hydroelectric power, fertile soil, and good for trade. The bad part is the flooding and forcing people out of their homes.
ReplyDeleteThe most important river in East Asia is th HuangHe or is also nown ae the Yellow River because it carries sand from the desertwhich are called loess. Then when the fertile soil deposits it makes the North China Plain a major wheat growing area. China also has another river called the Chang Jiang it is Asia's longest rivers it flows through huge gorges or canyons.
ReplyDeleteThe rivers help the people by giveing them food and water. They also will help them when the dam is built the it will give them hydroelectric power and then there wont be as much pollution. The bad things the rivers do are like they flood the land were they plant there crops. It will also make all the people lose there homes because were the dam is going to be it will make a lake.
The two greatest rivers in this area are the Huang He (Yellow River), and the Chang Jiang (Yangtze River). These rivers flow through China. The Huang He gets its name, “Yellow River”, from the color of the river. It got its yellowish color from a fine, yellow-brown soil called loess, which gets blown into the river from deserts in west China. The Chang Jiang is Asia’s longest river. It flows for about 3,400 miles through gorges and broad plains. It empties in Shanghai at the port. The Chinese built the Three Gorges Dam in 2009. It was 607 feet tall and 1.4 miles across. It is the world’s largest dam. It will prevent floods and supply a large amount of hydroelectric power, but when finished it will force over a million people out of they’re homes.
ReplyDeleteThe rivers positively affect the region by providing a source of water, food, and trade routes. They negatively affect the region by flooding and destroying homes close to the river.
Rivers of East Asia
ReplyDeleteThere are many rivers In East Asia. The most important rivers run through China, some of those rivers are the Yellow River, and the Chang Jiang. The Yellow River is called that because of the very large amount of loess, or yellow brown soil. When loess is deposited it makes the soil along the water really rich for farming. The Chang Jiang River flows for 3,400 miles of amazing gorges and canyons. The Chang Jiang River empties out into the bay of Shanghai. It provides water for a lot of farming in the area while it flows; over half of China’s rice is grown near the Chang Jiang. Some ships can continue their flow up the river and can make important stops to trade. The Three Gorges Dam will prevent floods and make a lake forcing thousands of people to move.
Answer: The Rivers in this region have a positive and negative effect on this region. The Three Gorges Dam is forcing thousands of people to move from their homes so that the dam will form a lake. But the dam will provide power for a large amount of China. People use the rivers to go upstream and transport goods to the people in the area and trade also. When the boats go up the river they save time and money because they don’t have to move the goods from a boat to a truck to get them to the destination. With all of that water too they depend on the floods to give water to their crops. Without that it would be quite hard to grow all of the rice that they do in the region.
The most important river flows threw china. The Huang He is northern China’s most important River system. The Huang He is called the “Yellow River” because of the yellow-brown soil that is blown in from the desert. This makes the North China plain an awesome wheat growing area. The Chang Jiang is also another important river. This river is Asia’s longest river and flows threw many gorges. The Chang provides water for farming area. China is building a dam on this river to stop flooding and provide lots of hydroelectric power. When finished it will make a huge lake which will make lots of people move.
ReplyDeleteFirst the positives. They help grow wheat from the sand blown in from the deserts that go into the river. The Chang provides water for farmers which helps grow food. Now the negative. Both rivers I talked about floods cities and towns. The dam China is building on the Chang will make people move because of the lake it will create but it will stop some flooding.
The most important rivers in East Asia flow through China. The Yellow River is Northern China's main river system. The river is called the Yellow River because of the tons of fine yellowish-brown soil called loess. Lots of wheat is grown here because of that. China's longest river, the Chang Jiang is 3,400 miles long.
ReplyDeleteSome of the positives about all the rivers is trading. All these rivers make a great trading center. Some other advantages is transpotatipon. It is very easy to go places here. There are also negitives. Flooding is a major issue. The Yellow River frequently over flows.
The important rivers flow through China. The rivers here flow eastward. Huange He (Yellow River) is China's biggest River System. Water here in the River is mostly yellow-brown called loess. When the rivers go out to the delta they leave a good farming place. Gorges are canyon and broad plains. Chang Jiang is the longest river in Asia. It is about 3,400.
ReplyDeleteThe positive way that the river helps this region is that it drinking and cleaning with all types of other stuff. The negative way is that the river destroyes this place by having monsons and floods.
~Summary~
ReplyDeleteThe Huang He (yellow river) is the northern china’s major river system. It is called “yellow” because its tons are a yellow-brown color. It appears as a yellow-brown color because the soil under it is a brown-yellow color. This soil is called loess, loess blows in from deserts in western China. This soil mixed with the water from the Yellow River makes the land in the North China Plain a major wheat growing area. The Huang He (yellow river) has flooded many towns and drowned many people. Not only that is has destroyed homes, businesses, and more small buildings. This is a result of the “China’s sorrow”. They also have another great river called Chang Jiang (Yangtze River). This river is Asia’s longest river. It flows about 3,400 miles through spectacular gorges, or canyons, and broad plains. The Chinese are building a large dam on the Chang Jiang (Yangtze River). It was completed in 2009.
~Answer~
They have a negative affect and a positive affect. The negative affects are the floorings, downing, and the destroying of homes and other buildings. The positive affects are the good soil deposits and the fishing it provides.
The two important rivers in East Asia flow through China. They begin in the Plateau of Tibet and flow eastward to the Pacific Ocean. These rivers are the Huang He which is also called the yellow river for its yellow-brown soil .When this river deposits, its makes the rich soil in the North China Plain a major wheat growing area. This river is also called the “China’s sorrow” in result of flooding the land, destroying homes and drowning people. The other river is called the Chang Jiang, Asia’s longest river, it flows through gorges, or canyons and broad plains. The Chang Jiang provides water for a large farming area were half of Chinas rice and other grains grow.
ReplyDeleteThe positive effects on these rivers are rich soil for growing crops, and also trading. The negative effect is flooding, destroying homes, and drowning people.
China contains many very important rivers used in Asia and they all begin at the Plateau of Tibet. The Huang He ,or Yellow River, carries loess to the North China Plain making the soils rich by the rivers. People at the North China Plain take advantage of that soil and use it to grow wheat. The Chang Jiang River is Chinas longest river and it supplies water to in the rice fields and also is used as a trade route. A dam is also being built on the Chang Jiang which will prevent less flooding and also provide a lot more hydroelectric power but will also cause a lot of people to move from this area.
ReplyDeleteThe rivers that flow through China have both negative and positive effects on the people living there. Rivers usually mean that there is a risk for flooding and that is exactly what happens with the Huang He. There is also a dam called Three Gorges Dam that will cause millions of people to move from their homes because of the large lake that is created with this dam. This dam can also help by creating hydroelectric power and preventing some floods. Rivers can also help make rich soil, like the Chang Jiang, to provide great farmland for rice.
Most of the important rivers in East Asia flow through China. The Huang He or “Yellow River” is China’s major river system. History of East Asia tells us that the Huang He has flooded the land many times destroying homes and killing many people. Another great river is the Chang Jiang which provides water for an area where most of Asia’s food is produced. This river flows through gorges, or canyons.
ReplyDeleteEastern Asia’s rivers help the people of East Asia because they provide a lot of water for the people’s crops. Also when the river gets bigger it gives the land more fertile soil. The way it doesn’t help the people is when the rivers flood and cause damages to towns and houses.
The most important rivers in East Asia flow through China. Most begin in the Plateau of Tibet and flow into the Pacific Ocean. The Huang He or Yellow River is Chinas major river system. Its called yellow due to the fine yellow-brown soil it carries. This yellow-brown soil is called loess and it blows in from deserts in western China. Another great river in China is the Chang jiang river it is Asia's longest river and stretches 3,400 miles long. It also moves through Spectacular gorges or canyons and broad plains. It will then empty into the ocean at the port city of Shanghai. This river is also one of the most important trade routes. The Chinese were constructing a dam that would prevent floods and produce Hydroelectricity but would force millions of people to flee their homes due to a large lake that would be formed. This dam was finished in 2009 and named the Three Gorges Dam.
ReplyDeleteThe ways that East Asia's river affect asia in a positive way would be. The rivers make the land fertile for growing crops and a water source. Another way it is good for the people is it is a good way to trade its quicker and a lot faster. But there are negative effects of the rivers. Some include they flood and drown people they can cut down houses when they flood. Some rivers can also make people move away because its getting dangerous.
The most important rivers of East Asia flow through China. The rivers start at the plateau of Tibet, and then they flow east towards the Pacific Ocean. Northern China’s major river is the Huang He. The Huang He has been nicknamed the “Yellow River” because the river carries tons of fine, yellow-brown soil. The soil is called loess. Loess is the yellow-brown soil that blows in from deserts in western China. The longest river in Asia is the Chang Jiang. The river flows for about 3,400 miles. The Chang Jiang also flows through gorges. Gorges are narrow clefts with steep, rocky walls. The river flows through broad plains too.
ReplyDeleteEast Asia’s major rivers affect the region both positively and negatively. The rivers affect the region positively because the river provides water for large farming areas where they grow tons of rice and other grains. Some negative affects are all the flooding from the rivers that are destroying people’s homes and even wiping out villages. Another negative affect it that the huge dams are forcing millions of people out of their own homes.
In East Asia, the most important rivers flow through China. The Huang He, also called the Yellow River, is the river system for northern China. Loess, a yellow-brown soil, is how the river got it's name. The river's water and the soil causes the North China Plain to be a good wheat-growing area. The river has also been named "China's sorrow," because in the past it has flooded causing homes to be destroyed and lives to be taken. The Chang Jiang, Asia's longest river, flows through gorges and plains. This river supplies water for farmers in an area where they grow enough rice and other grains to supply over half of China's needs for them. There is a dam being built on the Chang Jiang called the Three Gorges Dam, which will be the world's largest dam. After it's finished, it is expected to supply hydroelectric power and prevent floods, but it will cause millions to lose their homes.
ReplyDeleteThe rivers positively affect the region in several ways as well as in several negative ways. For a positive way, the dams on the rivers provide hydroelectric power. The dams can also prevent flooding, which can save people's lives. For a negative way, those same dams can force people from their homes. They can also form a large area of water which can kill some wildlife.
